With the bike at 2000 m in the heart of the Dolomites
Bike Sharing at 2000 m is a fun, alternative way to enjoy the mountains in the saddle. Bike Sharing, a public bike service, is usually in operation only in large cities, where it is a fast, handy method of transport. Users can get from A to B by renting a bike, which can be easily returned at the arrival point, without having to take it back.

This system has also been adapted for the mountains and Alta Badia is a pioneer. It is the first mountain village to offer the service to the many tourists who choose Alta Badia for their summer holidays. Cycling is one of the main holiday sports activities on the mountain. Thanks to Bike Sharing, you can pedal in total comfort from one place to another. It is also really important to stress that the bikes are electric and are therefore easy to pedal. Even the less sporty, who just want to enjoy the views of the Dolomites on two wheels, can benefit from some activity in the open air. On the upland plain above the villages of Alta Badia, where skiers test their skills on the curves of the many slopes in the winter months, there are four bike rental points: at Col Alto, Piz La Villa, Piz Sorega and Pralongiá. Every bike is linked to a power point where batteries can be recharged. Users have a card that allows them to take a bike and use it in the whole local area. The card can be used at every rental point to recharge the bike, or for rental and deposit. This is an ultra modern system with a server for communication between rental points and a GPRS system that localises each bike.
Bikes can be used by people aged 12 and over (up to 18 with a carer) at a price of € 14-16 for ½ day and € 28-30 for a whole day.
